On day one Scott, Elliot and Jed dug out and concreted the remaining section of the foundation for the retaining wall in the rear garden. All the materials were then moved manually up the steep front garden and around to the rear of the house during the hottest day of the year (peaking at 29 degrees) leaving everyone exhausted and ready for an early night!

During day two Scott Berry and his team began to build the retaining wall, fortunately for the team the weather had cooled down to just 18 degrees.

Day three of the seven day project saw Jed continuing to help Scott and Elliot to lay even more bricks!

After a delayed start - because the rain made it impossible to lay the capping bricks - the team managed to almost complete the wall leaving them with just a small section to finish during the morning of the fifth day. Elliot and Jed then cleared the site and removed the plant ready for Nicola and Tim to enjoy their garden this summer.

The team were supplied with plenty of liquid refreshments - to keep them going through the heatwave - and the most wonderful goodies... including some homemade banana cake!
