More of the outside skin of face brickwork was added to all sides of the extension.

Chester spent most of the day sleeping...

The inside skin of blockwork was built up to the external brickwork height and the cavity was filled with Full-Fill insulation.

Today Scott set the lintels above the window openings and completed more of the external skin of face brickwork.

Jed loaded out all the solar blocks ready for Scott to lay and then set up the spot boards for the mortar. Although he didn't have to move the bricks or blocks around today Scott kept him busy moving the spot boards from one area to another!

Elliot cut the blocks to size making a lovely job of the 45⁰ angle for the front elevation.

Chester the dog took a shine to the cavity wall insulation and ran off with some only to discover that it makes your mouth really itchy ... poor Chester!

Scott managed to lay the soldier course of brickwork above the lintels before the heavens opened and the rain poured down. Unfortunately they still needed to lay a course of block work and this had to be done during the downpour. Needless to say everyone got very wet, including Chester who thought it was great fun!

But, despite the weather, everything is right on schedule. The materials needed for next weeks works have been ordered and the scaffold will go up on Monday morning ready for Scott to start building the first floor.
